On the 25th of July it was Student Led Conference the problem was that I didn't go because my mum was at work and she would come back at night time and because my dad was busy at home doing stuff. What I took part in the science fair was how electricity works it was fun making the dioramas we could of work on was planing what to do before we did anything.  So what I did was I started playing on my chrome book  and got board so I went to a friends house and we played lots of coll and fun games. When we got back home dinner was ready and that is why I didn't go to  Student Led Conference Term 3 And Science Fair.

How You Taste?

Taste Writing

Taste Writing

Do you know what happens when you get a cold and when your eating at the same time? Do you know that you have more papilla then your parents? What you will be learning in this writing is how you taste and smell the food that you are eating.

How You Taste?  What I will be telling you about is how you taste and some parts of your tongue. You can taste your food by using your tongue it has little papilla on it and that is what helps you taste your food in your mouth, you can also taste by using your taste buds.

What Happens When You Have a Cold? When you have a cold, you are not able to smell or taste your  food in you mouth because…. When you have a cold the smell of the food goes to the stuff that is blocking your nose and that is what will happen when you have a cold.

What I learnt? I learnt that when you have a cold something is blocking your nose and stopping you from smelling and tasting your food.

How To Stay Safe Around Electricity

How To Stay Safe Around Electricity

Do you know where electricity comes from? Do you know  why a transformer important? Well if you don't I will be telling you what you need to know about electricity.

Firstly I would like to tell you some facts. 1. Did you know that your body is 70% made up of water. 2. Did you know that electricity can go through air water and metal as fast as a blink. 3. Did you know that birds can sit on power lines because their body’s aren’t touching the ground. If you knew one of those facts then you are a superstar.

Do you know what a transformer is used for? Well if you don’t you are about to find out. The transformer is used electricity how? It carries a lot of electricity for it to go into your house. What I will be talking about next is how to stay safe around electricity.

In this paragraph you will be learning about how to stay safe around electricity and power lines. 1. If you see a transformer don’t go near it. 2. When you crash into a power line jump out and hop ten meters away. 3. This is the most important one if your toast is stuck in the toaster then switch the plug off and  get it out with thing but when the plug is still in do not use something metal like…………. A fork, knife or a spoon because you could get a shock.

What I learnt was that you have to hop away when you crash into a power line.I also learnt that nobody can damage a transformer.

Manaiakalani Learner Questionnaire 2019

Kia Ora and hello this morning Mrs Collins came in and help room 10.
She helped us with a Manaiakalani Learner Questionnaire.
Every time we got to a different question she explained to us what it meant.
I really like the first 4 questions because they were easy to answer.
I found some questions hard because some words were some I hadn't herd of.
